Violin & Viola Teacher Glenn Loontjens
Glenn Loontjens, violist, is currently in his seventh season as a member of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra. He studied viola at Indiana University, where his principal teachers included Abraham Skernick and Josheph Depasquale. Currently he performs with the Southern Illinois Music Festival in the summers and was also previously a faculty member at Eastern Musical Festival in Greensboro, NC. Mr. Loontjens has played with many other orchestras, chamber groups and festivals across the country, including the Colorado Music festival, North Carolina Symphony, Savannah Symphony, the Spoleto Festivals in Charleston and Italy, and the touring company of the New York Opera. Here in Florida, Glenn has been a member of the Florida West Coast Symphony, the New World Symphony and and principal violist of the Sarasota Opera.
